It's been a while since I've written anything here, but I wanted to write about something I've been involved in for quite a while and that I think a lot of people would enjoy.

I run the Multi-Artist eXchange, which is essentially a group of people trading art of each others' characters.  Lots of us have our own original characters, and it's fun to see other people draw them.  But short of actually paying for commissions, most of us don't get a lot of gift art of our characters.  Multi-Artist eXchange sets up artists to exchange art with each other.  You create art of another artist's character, and in turn you will get art of one of your own.  It's good practice for your art skills, and you'd be surprised how fun it is to see different interpretations of your own characters.

I've been doing MAX for years and I've gotten some REALLY cool art from it.  Also, you can see my own gallery here is filled with art I've made for others.  If you're interested in getting involved, you can find MAX and more information here:

It really only requires two things:
- Signing up for a forum account
- Having some bio pages and example art of your characters.  Many of us have that right here on deviantArt.

So, give it a shot.  A round of MAX starts every two weeks, so you're never to far away from a chance to try it.  I'm looking forward to making art for you down the road.

I've learned that being in the business I'm in can keep me very busy.  But I love my job.  And soon, my current project will be over and I'll get a little free time before the next project ramps up.  I'd like to get plenty of my webcomic done in that time.

A lot of things have happened:

- I graduated as an Animation major.  I'm out of school and I'm never going back.  No more research papers or tuition payments.

- Work continues on my senior class' animation project.  We're getting pretty close to done.  By the end of the summer we'll have a fully-animated short of professional quality.  Or so we hope.

- Only two days before graduation I landed an awesome job with Disney.  It's comforting to not have to panic and search for jobs.  I've been enjoying this job immensely.  I'm surrounded by nice people who have taken me in and treated me well.  Some of my coworkers are friends from college, so I feel like I fit in already.  The pay is good.  I have a long commute, but soon I'll be moving closer.

I continue to update it whenever I can.

It's probably the worst semester I'll have in college.  I saved the wrong classes for last.  But at least some of the classes are good.  The rest are taught by hippies.  I'm fighting just to keep my head above the water.  But you know what?  It's almost over.

I like how DA made the deviation submission process not suck.  This could have happened a long time ago, but I wouldn't have known because I haven't done much here in a long time.

I'm back in school again and working harder than all get-out on animation.  It's fun stuff to work on though.  I'm taking a class from the legendary Ryan Woodward (Spider-man 2 and 3) and it's all about improving my art style and sense of design.  I'm very excited about this.  It's hard work and a lot of drawing, but it's the kind of hard that's good for you.
